HYDE PARK

Just north of the University of Texas Campus, lays Hyde Park, one of Austin’s most historic neighborhoods. The area is home to beautiful homes and independent, friendly residents. Hyde Park contains a style all its own. Local eatery’s Hyde Park Bar and Grill and Mother’s Café, which specializes in vegetarian food, are Austin favorites. Shipe Park and Pool is great place to unwind on summer nights. During the holiday seasons, Hyde Park is well known for the annual Christmas Lights on 37th Street.

Independent grocer Avenue B Grocery, the oldest active grocery in Austin, offers a unique shopping experience.  Crown and Anchor and Posse East are great local pubs and hang-out spots, and I Luv Video is a popular store for the best indie films and latest blockbusters.
